Red coral is connected to the first chakra, the root chakra stimulates vital energy and vitality. It eliminates energy imbalances due to negative moods, opens the heart with the power of love and is considered a stone of sensuality and affection.

Coral is a colony of microorganisms living in a limestone formation that grows in the shape of a small tree at depths between 50 and 150 metres.
Coral has fascinated man since ancient times and its origin has been a source of speculation among early naturalists for centuries.
Many believed that coral had magical and portentous qualities and was able to protect against negative influences. For this reason, in 15th century Italy, a coral necklace was an indispensable item in the trousseau of young brides from all walks of life.
In the 18th century, the first coral ‘industries’ sprang up in Naples and Torre del Greco: marvellous objects that included not only jewellery but also statuettes and the famous good-luck ‘twigs and horns’.
